Thanks for the visits

It’s been 1 year. 1 year since I made my first post.

I’m quite proud of myself. Usually I start something and never finish it, witness the billion craft projects I have scattered about the place. But this seemed to work. I spent about 2 weeks doing a crash course in Moveable Type and basic html coding courtesy of Google and Yahoo search engines – and then I launched. Flaws and all. Apart from the initial learning curve, once I had set up the stylesheet, the layout pretty well remained the same, and my only chore was to delete spam every once in awhile and of course try and keep you interested. My weblog turned out to be very low maintenance.

Then last week sometime I was thinking of upgrading. More research, WordPress to learn, lots of reading and code copying and here, on the 1 year anniversary I’m just about ready to launch the new look. If all goes well when you log on tomorrow you’ll get a peek.

Now none of this could have been done without Weblogs.us. This is an outfit, one guy JD and his team, who not only freely host web logs, but they encourage, help and fix their many clients issues quickly and courteously, all without demanding a penny. Some kind of miracle. Weblogs.us survives because of JD and his dedication and through the kindness of others by means of donations. I’m not asking you to donate, but if you’re like me and awed at what he has managed to do and you want to show your appreciation, please go ahead. I wouldn’t be here without them.

Cheers!
