I work part time in a grocery store and I must admit I felt quite uncomfortable selling those roses Monday. Especially when the middle aged man (always a middle aged man…) combined it with the cheapest of chocolate boxes. Is he really expecting his wife to throw herself around his neck when he brings home rubbish like that?! I felt an urge to refuse the customer and send him straight away to the flower store 100 yards down the corridor. Jeez…
