Meteo
I just did a meteo check for Rome on the weekend, and was surprised to see it was going to only be 11 or 12 degrees. So then I checked Glasgow, just to make sure, and you know what? It’s forecasted to snow here Thursday and over the weekend! Unheard of! What happened to the city that never got really hot, but never got really cold? We’re putting up with the lousy summers because the trade-off is the winters are’nt too bad, but when someone starts messing with that arrangement and adds snow to the forecast in November, I have to say, Paris is looking more and more promising….
It’s all a matter of perspective isn’t it? You’re used to Montreal winters so the winter here doesn’t seem so bad. We’re used to Australian winters. Enough said.
I’m re-evaluating that ‘not so bad’ comment. As soon as snow becomes part of the equation, it’s bad. Snow is lovely if you’re inside, by a fireplace drinking hot toddies – if you have to do anything, like go outside in a city – terrible!
I would just like to add that today was Montreal’s first snowfall… then rain. So now I must treck through slush on my way home… Rome and 12c looks very good to me!
