Rome: Casa di Guisy
Rome is sorted. Booked into A casa di Guisy in Trastavere for the weekend. I can’t wait to go back to Rome. It’s only short and sweet, but just hanging about visiting the market in the Campo de Fiori, wandering the streets, good coffee and crostini, and all those beautiful people to look at. Can’t wait.
Here, we’ve no heat or hot water. The boiler is on the blink. A repair man should be coming sometime before 1pm tomorrow! I think I might hang out in the pub tonight by a fireplace to keep warm, and there is always the showers at the gym to get cleaned up. It’s a big day for netball this afternoon with a playoff with a team of guys from Thales. Competition is supposed to be a game of netball followed by a game of football – I’m betting the girls won’t come up trumps in football, possibly not even in the netball, although I’ve heard a few people mentioning that perhaps being strict on ‘footwork’ will make all the difference! If nothing else, it should be a nice little bit of exercise and a great laugh!
Michelle is in Lyon today and heading to Paris tomorrow for her big presentation on Thursday… keep thinking those positive thoughts and we may just get a nice sized apartment in Paris where you can come visit!
