Joy
It’s hillwalking time again. I know, that came around fast didn’t it? You see, we (?) decided to add another hillwalk into the middle of our regular monthly excursion making it TWO hillwalks in November instead of the usually tiresome one.
Can you tell I’m thrilled?
Difference is, this time we’ve rented a house with a group of other like minded people from Thales, that is, other excitable hill climbers, and we’re spending the weekend at the end of the road in Glen Clova which is somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the middle of Scotland. I’ve been packing for days.
“What if they don’t have the right pot for Risotto?”. Bring my own.
“What if they don’t have nice wine glasses to drink the ’97 Cigare Volant?” Pack 5 of ours.
“What if it just rains continually like it does in Scotland?” Bring some books.
I’m so over prepared we barely fit into our little Clio and I haven’t even done the grocery shopping yet.
Since we’re taking everything else, I managed to sneak in the cake tin and 12 plums to make that yummy fresh plum cake I made for Marie Gagnons* birthday this year…
Ahhh hillwalking…
* since we’re thousands of miles away, we had to eat it on her behalf and just tell her how good it was….
I didn’t know you girls drove a clito? no wonder there’s no room for the risotto pot!
