Cappella Sansevero

I keep meaning to write about this lovely little chapel we visited in Naples on the advice of Paskal. The Chapel of Santa Maria della Pietra (or Cappella Sansevero as it’s commonly known) holds some of the most amazing sculptures I’ve ever seen. The ‘Cristo Velato’ (Veiled Christ) by Giuseppe Sanmartino and another ‘Disinganno’ by Francesco Queirolo, a sculpture of a man tangled in a fishing net are just out of this world. Certainly worth a visit.

The wet, dark, grey weather we’re having here in Glasgow is making me pine for Italy…
