We had a busy month with friends visiting, xmas cheer and preparations for our trip home! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

We had our friends from the Peak District in England up to visit again this month. A wonderful time, lots of good food, wine and company (I gained 7 pounds in 1 weekend – it was that much fun!) Unfortunately for them, lucky for us, they got to stay longer than expected because their car broke down while they were here on Sunday…. when the 24 hour/7 day a week garage hadn’t even looked at it by Monday evening, we let them go home in our car – so they’ll be back next weekend for another go and to pick up their car! We’re looking forward to it – I’m not sure they’re looking forward to another 5 hours here and 5 hours home again! But the wine should well make up for it.

Weather is still ok – around 6-9 degrees (although we’ve had 1 cold day at -3 in the morning) the rest has been wonderful – not even winter coats yet! I’m still just wearing my rain coat! When it rains, it really rains!

I’m dashing about this week trying to get ready to leave for Australia, and to prepare Michelle for a week on her own here in Glasgow…. I leave on the 15th, Michelle on the 22nd for 4 weeks in Australia and then a week in Bangkok on the way home.. YIPEE. We are off for our shots for Thailand this afternoon….

It’s been a great year, and a wonderful 7 months settling in here in Glasgow. We wish you all a lovely christmas and a very happy and prosperous new year! Hopefully we will get to see some of you next year here in Glasgow where we can show you around our adopted home. We love it, and we’re sure you will too!
