We had our netball christmas party on Friday night. 13 Girls. One spanish tapas restaurant. The whole of Byres Rd. All this, and beginning at 2.30pm – you can imagine, can’t you… we had a blast though. Food was good. Wine was good. Bourbon was good. Music was good. We finished up with a few people at our flat admiring the view…

Saturday was a bit of a write-off. We did a wee bit of shopping. A wee bit of walking. Out for breakfast, lunch and dinner and home in bed by 9pm.

Yesterday was a highlight. We dashed off to Edinburgh ostensibly to see the opening of a painting exhibition sponsored by Aardvark Safaris featuring scenes from the Masai Mara, but more importantly to have a huge Thai meal with Madeline & Dave. As it turned out, the paintings were amazing and if I had have had a spare £425 on me, I would have bought one of them. At that price, they were a steal! And the meal, well the meal was great. Dusit Thai on Thistle Street. One of our favourites, good wholesome servings, good range, great taste and impecable friendly service. Couldn’t ask for more unless we were dining in Thailand itself.

So there you have it. The weekend in summary. I’m probably going to be off and on again this week… I’m working 3 days on Taggart this week so my time will be stretched between packing up and working and generally mundane tasks that just have to get done…. hope you have a good one!
