I’m going away for a little while. London on Thursday to visit our favourite family and our gorgeous godson. Michelle will join me for the weekend, then we’ll take it from there. It’s funny but I’m looking forward to certain very ordinary things. English newspapers for one, plus their supplements. I’m going to save all the supplements and bring them home with me when I return to Paris for Michelle to read. BBC TV. Nothing beats it. Cheap shampoo. Imagine. L’Oreal shampoo, made in France, cheaper in Tesco! Indian Curries – take away preferably! TK Max – the best place for a designer bargain. The list goes on. As I said, quite ordinary and not at all one-sided.

Of course there will be plenty of things I’ll miss from here….
