single life
We’ve had a string of amazing weather here in Glasgow since Michelle’s been away. Glorious. With a high on Sunday of 26 degrees and today another scorcher, blazing blue skies and temperatures in the mid 20’s, it’s almost unheard of…
I’ve been fiddling about. Getting myself back into some kind of routine. A movie on Saturday with Mad & Dave, another yesterday – along with sorting out the pile of paperwork that’s been steadily building up since the beginning of August. I finally got through it all around 4pm, just in time to play netball.
It’s been awhile. August 9th to be exact. And dear me, didn’t I feel it. I assume it was because the weather is so fab, but we had to play 5 a side tonight as we were several players down. It was fun if you like that sort of thing. Running up and down a court, breaking fingernails, heart pumping, lungs screaming. I’m knackered. Now I’m home, I’m not going anywhere. Since I don’t have to cook something to go with wine for my dinner – that’s Michelle’s requirement, a quick look in our fridge tells me the most summery thing I could come up with for dinner tonight would be a strawberry smoothy.
That’s what it’ll be then. Shame we don’t have any rum….
