Oxford – Bath
Quick entry. Excellent Thai dinner last night in Oxford at the Chiang Mai Kitchen. Definitely worth a recommendation.
Awkward start from Oxford this morning (to do with a wayward credit card) left me taking the train, and xtine following by bus to Bath. Both of us arrived safely and securely, only about 90 minutes apart. Checked into illustrious surroundings(!) and then did the token ‘open top’ bus tour around Bath.
Beautiful city. Really very pretty. We visited the Roman Baths, and then I split to do a cruise on the River Avon which was lovely – and Christine is off on a historical walking tour. It’s been another perfect day in sunny England – 7pm and it’s still 23 degrees – with another sunny day scheduled for tomorrow. Who says it always rains in England??
Tomorrow we’re booked on a ‘Mad Max‘ tour of Stonehenge, Avebury, Wiltshire White Horse, Lacock National Trust Village and Castle Combe followed by a Comedy walk in the evening… should be interesting!
later….
