optimism vs pessimism
Well, I told you a few weeks ago about a problem we have with this years salary. Unfortunately it became two problems. 1 in Montreal and 1 here in Glasgow. The issue in Montreal has been closed, however unsatisfactorily. We did the right thing ethically. Yet, the issue here in Glasgow is still being reviewed.
Suffice to say, we may be back in Montreal a lot sooner than expected…
What is really sad is that Michelle has inherent trust in everybody and also in corporations. She believes when people say they will do something – they actually will. Unfortunately however, the majority of people are just not like her. They don’t go out of their way to do the right thing. If it’s too hard, and particularly if it doesn’t affect them personally, they just don’t bother.
Me, I’m the eternal pessimist when it comes to business. Make it very clear, and get it in writing is my motto. Too bad really. The world really needs more optimists, but if they keep getting trod on, eventually they too will learn not to trust others.
Sorry I couldn’t be more entertaining.
Pst…..Elissa, can you mention to Michelle I have a great deal on some nice property in Florida !! Well, what can I say, I’m an OptPessIsm, a little of both.
