Dublin wrap up
so… home at last!
I managed to visit the Photo Gallery which was amazing. There was an exhibition of final year students that was excellent. I also did the walking tour of Dublin, which was also great. A couple of hours of history, given by a graduate student of Trinity College. Nice looking, nice accent, 2 hours just flew past. A bit of retail therapy on Grafton Street, and then a nice Afternoon Tea at a posh hotel, that include little cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off, muffins, walnut bread, creme brule, scones with jam and clotted cream, chocolate thingy’s – more than we could possibly eat!
A death defying ride in a taxi at peak hour took us to the UGC to see Japanese Story, fish and chips at the airport, then a drive home from Prestwick in the rain.
So endeth our visit to Dublin….
Flight to Manchester tomorrow, hillwalking scheduled for Saturday. YIPEE!
I have finaly figured out how to do the pub thing!
You have to schedule your food intake and menu AROUND the drinking (not the other way around)… all of a sudden it is all coming clear! I am looking forward to testing my theory in sheffield, bath and oxford next week…
This afternoon I bought a pair of wellington boots, only 45£, form a shop that also sell pots, pans, and equestrian accessories…
