Chores
Today was supposed to be a bit of a “chores” day. Nothing special happening. Michelle left for Lyon and Grenoble and will be back Friday night so it’s perfect timing to get some of those bits and pieces done which build up after some time cause they are either a) not simple; b) plain boring; or c) elusive for one reason or another…
So, my list for today looks like this:
take out the garbage binsgym- confirm # of rooms required for our weekend in Keswick
- book said # of rooms
- get bank cheque for £40 for Michelles passport renewal
- try and pick up a copy of the West End Festival program
- change “Fat Duck” reservation from Sat Jun 19 to Fri Jun 18
- walk out to the Woodside Baths and find out how they work for Mum’s visit
- update the ‘Expenses’ spreadsheet
brainstorm on a birthday gift for nanna- make said birthday gift for nanna
- train timetables for Keswick to Bath
- accommodation in Bath
- KLM miles correction for Michelle
- post office to complain about registered mail service
grocery shopping- book hair appointments for both of us
update weblog- load some photos on photoblog
- bring in the garbage bins
- go introduce myself to the neighbours (only this time to the neighbours not the neighbours mother!)
…. as you can see I had a very exciting(!) day in store for me. Pity it didn’t work out as planned. I managed the bins, then the gym, then got sidetracked by a coffee shop, and then a movie, which was a bit of a waste of time really. I saw “Taking Lives” and well, apart from the homesickness I felt seeing Montreal in the summertime, it was pretty lacklustre.
So i’ts now 15:15 – I have exactly 2h45 before I have to leave for my photography class. As far as my list is concerned… I’m just gonna have to transcribe it into tomorrow’s TO DO page and give it another shot!
