We’ve been eating out non-stop. Wonderful restaurants. Wonderful food. It’s all been a long whirl of restaurants as far back as I can remember. And then on Monday, after we said goodbye to Julie & Mario we jumped in the car with Valerie and headed south down to the Loire region. We stayed here, and had one of our best meals yet. It was great to get away, a swimming pool, plenty of castles, some much needed sunshine and more fabulous restaurants.

So now tonight, on this day, this special day, we’ve decided on soup. That’s right. Soup. At home. Nice & quiet. No apperitif, no entree, no dessert, no digestif. Just soup.

I’m looking forward to it.
