Other stuff
Went to see Harry Potter 3 as part of my part-part time work last Friday. I enjoyed it, but was a little disappointed expecting a bit more from the new director Alfonso Cuaron (Y tu mama tambien).
Saturday night we had a dinner party here with Christine, Eleanor and Julie. A night of pop music in the never ending quest to pick our own personal Top 10 songs OF ALL TIME! Try it, it’s very difficult. You tend to end up with about 5 in the list, then about 35 in the list of those for the top 10-20… defying math entirely!
Sunday was a quiet affair. I registered with a Casting EXTRAs agency, in the hope to have some fun while making a bit of cash on the side… Then I went to see ‘The day after tomorrow’ while Michelle and Xtine went to see ‘Bad Education’. Positive comments all around. The only wierd thing with my movie was the ending. At first I thought that America was showing a little humility in the presidents speech thanking third world countries and the scenes with Americans fleeing the US, then it started to bother me, thinking perhaps they either a) know something we don’t or b) are on a big marketing campaign to improve their image… either way, it’s a little scary.
The phone has been playing up today. So if you can’t reach us, try email until further notice.
Christine and I are off to Dublin tomorrow. I shall do my best to fill you in on my return.
