coffee, croissants & museums

It’s nice to be home. Things have resumed fairly smoothly.

Today I walked into Le Pain Quotidien on the rue Montorgueil, picked up the Herald Tribune, and without saying a word, the waiter brought me a cafe creme & croissant… I looked at him dumbfounded and he just said “where have you been? I haven’t seen you for awhile…“. It’s nice to be remembered. So I’ve done groceries, done some chores, I’m making vegetable soup to get me through the wet weather and very soon I’ll be ready to launch into the cultural side of things. I have big plans involving memberships to the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay and Georges Pompidou, not to mention my cinema going and fraternising with the waiters of Paris.

It’s all good. First things first though. I need to buy an umbrella….
