lazy sunday
Somethings wrong with our weather pixie. She’s reporting weather from 5 hours ago…. now that’s about the equivalent of reporting weather in February for July in Montreal. At 7:20am this morning it was raining and 12 degrees. Now at 12:30pm it is sunny and 17 degrees. All the same, by the time you read this it will probably have averaged itself out again, such is the meteo here.
Michelle is out playing golf. Her second of the year. Which is nice. I politely declined and decided to sleep instead. I was having a really good dream that involved a BMW that Jeremy Clarkeson was giving me as a gift! You know when you keep waking up but want to go back into the dream? well that was it for me this morning. Unfortunately, before I could get the car out of him, the sun was beaming into the bedroom and I felt too guilty to miss a sunny morning in Glasgow, so I got up and out of bed. Bye Bye BMW.
The plan for this afternoon after lunch was to go and see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind at the cinema. But considering the weather right now, I wouldn’t want to waste it. So it might be a park day. Or beer in the park day. Or beer at the beer garden day. We’ll decide on the way out.
So apart from that, things are pretty quiet here in Glasgow. I know you guys must have some news…. write to us!
saw the corporation as well… I agree with alex it is too long but it is a must see, if only to compensate for all the advertising that was pushed down each of our throat this month…
alex, you should catch les zapartistes at lion d’or on any tuesay of this spring… another take on the corporation’s message, but funnier (that is if you don’t mind rire jaune)… you have to see their rené levesque explaining the irak war or their Paul Desmarais explaining why they don’t sell plutonium in our dépaneurs… hilarious and chilling, like a very good tarantino scene.
also saw the eternal sunshine…, a movie that makes you want to repeat mistakes in the name of love… I give it a 2 thumbs, 2 big toes up!

Jeremy Clarkson…I’m a big fan! I’ve been downloading as many episodes of Top Gear on the net as possible because unfortunately, his show doesn’t come on BBC Canada..
Coming from him, I would not have settled for just a BMW!
In regards to some news…not much happening…In Mtl, we have been experiencing shitty weather same as you girls…It’s still not hot outside and we’re at the beginning of May! There must be something wrong.
I went to see a couple movies lately that I recommend….Kill Bill vol.2…A very good Tarantino movie…Vol 1 was more about action and Vol 2 is more geared towards dialogue…both are Tarantino specialties…Can’t wait for the director’s cut when he will release the 2 movies glued together as they should have been when released originally…It will make for a more balanced movie.
Yesterday, I saw a documentary called The Corporation which talks about the reason how a corporation has become a ‘legal person’ with the same rights as you and I. And what this means today etc….A leftist perception with a lot of good opinions (Naom Chomsky, Michael Moore etc…). The movie is interesting but too long.
