Who needs email

Nothing works this morning. Email is still down, my internet provider tells me it is something to do with the outlook software i have, the makers of outlook (you know the ones) tell me it is to do with my internet account set up. My computer service friend cannot confirm when he will get here.

Now 10 months ago, i would be shouting down the telephone line at anyone i could reach – today, i am venting here on my blog. No shouting. Still a bit of built up frustration, but nothing a little bit of meditation won’t cure.

So. No email from outlook. Doesn’t matter really, i can check my inbox direct from the server in case anything urgent comes in, like me winning that new golf set for Michelle… it works, it’s just painful.

But hey, I’m going to France next week. So there. Who needs email anyway! I’m going to wander each day through small villages. Stopping for a cafe or glass of wine as the mood takes me… i’m going to buy fresh produce from the daily market in Narbonne and cook simple fresh scrummy meals.

Who needs email? Simple. That’s the best.

  1. thanks. yep tried the reconfiguration, my mate just dropped by and it seems to be an address book software (Plaxo) that i had installed – it was intefering with the connection somehow (?) all fixed now.. i will check out the Mozilla link though, thanks!

  2. Did you reconfigure your incoming/outgoing server after you resinstalled Outlook? I’d assume it’s a simple configuration problem rather than a software problem.

If it is a software problem, you can ditch Outlook for Mozilla Thunderbird. It’s by far the best email client I’ve ever used and it’s totally free.
